IT Engineer

Key Objectives

The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing IT systems that support accounting processes and business functions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable technology solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement best practices that align with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware.
• Monitor system performance and implement upgrades or improvements to ensure optimal functionality.
• Provide technical support to internal teams, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive accounting data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with software vendors and service providers to integrate and support accounting applications.
• Document IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to maintain knowledge continuity.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution to minimize downtime.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Engineer or similar role, preferably within the accounting or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of network administration, server management, and system security.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with cloud services, virtualization, and backup solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco CCNA are a plus.
