Job Description - IT Software / Computer Specialist

The IT Software/Computer Specialist is an entry/mid-level position that will work onsite at customer locations or remotely to field, upgrade, and troubleshoot government software/hardware for various customers in the United States and designated overseas locations.

Configure and install government software modules onto customer owned devices to support individual customer requirements
Test to ensure government software modules function as intended according to configurations
Evaluate, troubleshoot, and report discrepancies identified with government owned software
Ability to train the functions of software to customers of varying technical ability
Ability to write detailed reports of work performed on a weekly basis

Qualifications

Security + required
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
Up to 3 years of related experience or College Courses

Required Skills

Ability to communicate technical computer information to technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent verbal and written skills
Must be compliant within 6 months with Department of Defense Directive 8570 (DoDD 8570) Certification IAT Level II
Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, IP CONFIG) is desired
Ability to troubleshoot, research, and resolve issues
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
·Experience with Satellite Communication (SATCOM) and networking is a plus
Must be able to travel up to 25%; with potential for short notice trips and extended length (2 weeks +)
