JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Department: Information Technology
Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Head of IT
Summary/Objective: Under the direction of the Head Of IT, takes complete responsibility for the dayto-day operations, user support and branch/office IT environment. Must be prepared to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Perform duties and day-to-day operations and shifts may including evening and night hours.
2. On-call duties may be assigned for incident response outside of scheduled shifts.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date computer hardware and software inventory control and update configuration information.
4. Follow operational procedure to conduct regular health checks and reports.
5. Work with internal teams to resolve recurring technical issues and improve operational workflows.
6. Maintain and update standard operating procedures and system runbooks.
7. Support patching, change management, and scheduled maintenance activities.
8. Assist with disaster recovery tests and business continuity planning exercises.
9. Contribute to compliance, audit, and security tasks by generating logs and documentation when required.
10. Collaborate with application support, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams for seamless operations.
11. Able to communicate with the Head Office in Chinese to conduct troubleshooting and ITIL procedure with Head Office.
Competencies:
In order to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
1. Knowledge and experience in general banking IT operations, technical support, and/or infrastructure monitoring.
2. Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.
3. Basic understanding of Windows/Linux servers, networking concepts,
4. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of Computer Operating Systems, Windows, Microsoft applications.
Language/Communication Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin highly desirable.
