Position Summary The ITA Coordinator will function as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing recovery-oriented, person-centered care at Recovery Place Kent Inpatient Services. The ITA Coordinator is responsible for processing initial ITA paperwork, tracking key dates for legal processes and communicating expectations to staff and court team. They are responsible for copying and prepare documents for court and identifying communication needs between staff and court. They will represent the Valley Cities mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in their communication with internal and external stakeholders. They will assist as needed with de-escalation and restraint of clients in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention training and maintain current certification (CPI). The ITA Coordinator is expected to work effectively as a team member, participating in treatment team meetings and other client care coordination activities. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, and/or changed at the discretion of management. Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate with Admissions Coordinator and Charge Nurses to upload necessary documents and information to Credible and Secure File Transfer sites.
- Communicate with ITA Team and King County ITA Court to coordinate legal needs for clients on ITA holds.
- Be comfortable working with individuals who suffer from a Chemical dependency and Mental illness.
- Work with multi-disciplinary care team members, including chemical dependency, mental health and medical providers, as part of a comprehensive therapeutic team.
- Mediate and/or de-escalate resident conflict as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High School Diploma and one year of Behavioral Heal experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Understanding of and familiarity with addiction, withdrawal, and treatment resources for recovery.
- Pass required background checks.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Willing to work evenings and one weekend day.
- If recovering from alcohol/chemical dependency, the person must have been clean and sober for at least two years and be working a personal recovery program that is verifiable and documented at the time of hire.

- Ability to adapt; flexibility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to create spreadsheets for tracking deadlines and milestones
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently as well as in a team setting

- Must have a valid Washington state driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance
