What we offer: 

· Salary: $18.00 - $20.00  

· PTO is offered for part-time employees. 

Job Functions:

This job is responsible for delivering catering orders from all Inside the Box Café and Catering locations.  

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for delivering catering orders from ITB Café and Catering, ensuring good customer service for patrons.
2. Responsible for daily drop off and pick up of food from Metropolitan Ministries to Inside the Box locations.
3. Responsible for food donation pick up as required.
4. Responsible for maintaining and keeping company vehicles clean and organized at all times.   
5. Operate company vehicles in accordance with Metropolitan Ministries vehicle safety policies and insurance requirements.
6. Meet personal goals and actively contribute to the achievement of team and organizational targets/goals as stated on the KPI and in the annual plan. Attend required staff meetings and on-going trainings. Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED completed; Minimum of two years delivery driving experience. Must possess a valid Florida Drivers license and be able to operate a motor vehicle weighing up to 2.5 tons.

Skills Requirements:

This position requires the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary framework. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, orally as well as in writing. Must demonstrate a heart for the ministry of serving poor and homeless families. The position requires a degree of maturity, sensitivity to issues of faith, cross cultural and diversity issues, and the social skill to handle job-related matters in a professional and diplomatic manner. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients, staff, and volunteers.  

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to tolerate outdoor temperatures consistent with Florida climate and endure prolonged standing/walking/bending/stooping and stretching. Must be able to relocate materials in a safe and proper manner. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly. Must be able to calculate mathematical equations as needed for inventory control. Must have adequate hearing and speaking ability as to take part in and provide sound oral communication and information. Must have the physical, emotional, and spiritual stamina to handle job-related issues and stress. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Other:

Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States and pass applicable pre-employment background screening procedures. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and maintain eligibility to drive on behalf of Metropolitan Ministries. Employees in driving positions must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review at hire and remain insurable under Metropolitan Ministries’ driving standards and insurance carrier requirements throughout employment. Driving eligibility is subject to periodic MVR reviews, and failure to maintain eligibility may result in removal from driving duties.
