IV Pharmacist

Now Hiring - IV Pharmacist - Marlborough, MA 

Hours: 12:00 PM - 8:30PM Monday - Friday (Rotating Weekends)

The IV Pharmacist will be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Oversees and/or participates in daily compounding and dispensing activities associated with Solution's infusion therapy services program. 


2. Supervises IV pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy personnel in policy and procedure pertaining to the aseptic preparation of IV solutions, and the delivery of ancillary supplies and infusion devices, when appropriate.


3. Maintains accurate and complete documentation for the dispensing of IV solutions, ancillary supplies, and infusion devices.


4. Performs IV order entry for processing of infusion therapy prescriptions.


5. Provides clinical pharmacy services to patients receiving IV medications.


6. Interfaces with skilled nursing facility personnel as necessary.


7. Serves as an information resource for skilled nursing personnel, physicians, and other personnel.


8. Participates in quality assurance testing on parenteral products prepared in the sterile products complex.


9. Orders or participates in inventory management of IV solutions, administration and catheter supplies and infusion therapy devices.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy

Professional Experience:

• Must be a State Registered Pharmacist


• 1+ years of Pharmacist experience in a long term care or retail pharmacy environment


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Strong interpersonal skills
