Janitorial Cleaner (H)

High‑security janitorial personnel are specialized cleaning staff who maintain the cleanliness, safety, and order of sensitive facilities such as government buildings, military installations, courthouses, law enforcement centers, and private‑sector sites with classified or sensitive operation. Their role combines standard custodial duties with strict security compliance.

Core Duties

• Cleaning & Sanitization: Perform daily and periodic cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, common areas, and specialized zones, ensuring facilities remain sanitary, orderly, and in good condition.
• Security Compliance: Adhere to all access control, badging, SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility), OPSEC, and NISPOM requirements; follow secure area protocols and chain‑of‑custody procedures.
• Facility Maintenance: Complete minor repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures), restock supplies, and maintaining cleaning equipment in working order.
• Security Awareness: Monitor for safety hazards, report suspicious activity, and ensure compliance with facility security rules during cleaning operations.
• Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and restricted areas; avoid unauthorized disclosure or access.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Security Clearance: Typically, a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for low‑risk facilities; higher clearance levels (e.g., TS/SCI, SIDA) for sensitive sites.
• Background Check: Comprehensive review of employment, education, criminal, credit, and reference history.
• Training: Security‑awareness, OPSEC, SCIF handling, and facility‑specific protocols; may require on‑the‑job training in secure cleaning methods.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, prolonged standing) and work in varied schedules including evenings, nights, and some weekends. 
• Reliability & Discretion: Proven integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to safety and security standards.

Work Environment

• Primarily indoor work in secure or restricted facilities; occasional outdoor tasks (e.g., sweeping walkways).
• May work alone or in teams, often responsible for securing areas after cleaning.
• Subject to strict supervision and compliance audits.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces  
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met  
• Empty trash and recycling bins and waste in accordance with company policies 
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces  
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly  
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor  
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed  
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation  

Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred   
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus
