Janitors

Position Overview:

We are seeking reliable and professional janitorial staff to work at a VA Hospital in New Mexico. This position involves maintaining cleanliness in a healthcare environment, which requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to protocols, and a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining all floor areas

• Dusting surfaces, vents, and fixtures

• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and high-touch areas

• Emptying and removing trash and biohazard waste

• Disinfecting patient rooms and common areas

• Performing terminal cleaning of patient discharge rooms in compliance with hospital infection control standards

• Restocking paper products, hand soap, and supplies

• Following all safety and infection prevention protocols

Shifts Available:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 10 positions available

• Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | 9 positions available

• Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 1 position available

Requirements:

• Prior janitorial or hospital housekeeping experience preferred

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods

• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs

• Must pass a background check for access to a federal facility

• Must demonstrate professionalism and discretion in a government healthcare setting
