At Jesus Church, we believe it is important to teach and disciple even our youngest kids in age appropriate ways on what it looks like to have a relationship with Jesus. If they grow up knowing Jesus, they have a much greater chance of continuing to walk with Him. It gives them the opportunity to have their own relationship with Jesus and not operate just from their parent’s relationship with Jesus. 

As a JC Kids Director, you would be manage the vision casting, management, team building, and discipleship aspects of our JC Kids Ministry. If you have a heart for kids and a passion to disciple this generation, this position may be for you. 

Purpose of the Job:
• To provide leadership and oversight of JC Kids Department to ensure
effectiveness and efficiency of overall operations. To be the first point of
contact for all internal and external operations of JC Kids. To provide a
high-level of administrative and management support to the JCREW
serving in JC Kids at Jesus Church. To develop and implement a plan for
discipleship at all ages for children at Jesus Church.

Experience and Knowledge Required:
• Experience in problem solving
• Supervise multiple projects effectively
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• A love and calling toward ministry to children and families
• Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online software
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and
PowerPoint
• Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills with
a particular emphasis on follow-through and attention to detail
• Ability to think and act independently with a high degree of
professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
• Must be a strong communicator with excellent written, verbal and
interpersonal skills
• Ability to create, analyze and maintain project budgets

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Serve as a management layer for all Team Leads and Coaches
• Receive direction from pastoral staff and communicate to Leads and follow
up for completion of work
• Oversee all operations of JC Kids at the campus, ensuring the success of
the Sunday experience and First Wednesday Experiences
• Directly oversee security and communication teams at the campus for JC
Kids
• Respond to pastoral staff with emergencies/urgent issues as they arise
• Respond to emails and phone call within 24-hour time frame
• Create monitoring systems to detect problems as early as possible and
initiate interventions to solve the problems
• Work with Team Leads to build their teams for the weekend experience
• Oversee the overall health of JC Kids teams at the campus
• Develop and train ready-now leaders for JC Kids teams
• Assist Team Leads in developing and training leaders for all Church Kids
Teams
• Process new JCREW for all JC Kids teams through Planning Center
Online and background screening process
• Respond and minister to pastoral care needs of children and families at
the campus including hospital visits
• Ensure weekly curriculum is ready for the weekend
• Send out weekly curriculum to all teachers by Tuesday of the week prior to
Sunday Worship Experience
• Weekly observe adult-to-child ratios to ensure child safety, abide by state
laws, and monitor growth for additional rooms that may be needed
• Participate in weekly debriefs to discuss enhancing the Sunday
experience and upcoming events
• Ensure that the kids facility areas are clean and set in an excellent manner
for all experiences

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and lead quarterly training with all JC Kids JCREW
