Primary Function:

The Jeweler Apprentice will service and repair clients' jewelry repairs while providing excellent quality and turnaround time, following all posted processes to bring damaged jewelry up to the standards required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe accountability of various gemstones, diamonds, metal used in repairs and customers jewelry.
• Be able to perform 50 repairs per day to meet goals and objectives.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

• Minimum of one years’ experience in jewelry repairs. Ability to work independently and meet hourly goals.
• Ability to work with small tools and intricate materials.
• Demonstrated proficiency and skill in the areas of chain repair, bracelet repair, and earring repair, prong and stone setting repairs, stone tightening, and polishing.
• Must have experience using a microscope.
• Must be able to read and understand instructions to complete repairs and follow written processes.
• Must be willing to train to new techniques
• Must be organized and able to communicate with others.
• Must pass a bench test.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hollow chain repairs, a plus.
• Laser welding experience, a plus.
• Production experience, a plus.
