A technically strong architecture professional can have real influence here: helping shape design ideas, translating them into buildable details, coordinating the people who make projects happen, and staying involved through construction. The firm is looking for a collaborative Job Captain who can move comfortably between design thinking and technical execution.
Why this role stands out The position is intentionally hands-on across the full design process - from conceptual design through construction administration - rather than being limited to production-only responsibilities.
Position Overview
This Job Captain role is designed for an architecture professional with at least three years of recent design-office experience who enjoys both design collaboration and technical problem solving. You will help develop design and construction-document packages, coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors, and stay engaged during construction through bid evaluation, site visits, technical issue resolution, and quality control.
Why This Role Stands Out
Full-process exposure: contribute from concept through construction administration.
Visible technical influence: bring building-construction knowledge, technology awareness, millwork-detailing capability, and consultant coordination into the work.
Collaborative design culture: ideas are developed iteratively through dialogue, debate, and shared authorship rather than handed down as a single "big reveal."
End-user focus: design decisions are tested against how people will actually experience the spaces.
Inclusive team environment: the firm emphasizes diverse perspectives, broad participation, and the belief that every team member can contribute meaningful ideas.
Growth toward licensure is valued; candidates who are on track for licensure are preferred.
