Join our Team - Looking For Experienced Baristas and Coffee Professionals

Summary of Position:

Sparrow Coffee is growing - we are looking for passionate and experienced coffee professionals to grow within the brand! While all team members begin as cashiers as part of our training model, this role is intended for candidates who are motivated to quickly train and grow into barista and leadership positions through our structured development program. Prior experience is valued and can lead to faster advancement. Advancement is performance based and intentional - we only promote from within!

Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and consistent customer service from the beginning to the end of each guest experience.


• Learn and uphold Sparrow's service and quality standards.


• Become knowledgeable about all menu items including but not limited to pastries, breakfast and lunch items, espresso drinks, seasonal drinks, and coffee varietals, and confidently answer guest questions.


• Support front-of-house operations and team flow.


• Adapt to changing station needs day to day and approach each shift with a positive attitude.


• Prioritize collective success, collaboration, and shared goals over individual achievement.


• Frequently and professionally communicate with team members and shift leads.


• Train into kitchen and barista roles.

Requirements:

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and passion for specialty coffee and hospitality.


• Manual dexterity, able to carry various objects, operate order terminal, operate kitchen/barista equipment.


• Patient, with an ability to stay positive under pressure.


• Open weekend and holiday availability


• Shift flexibility - opening, mid, and closing shifts. Openers arrive at 5am and closers work until 7pm.


• Experience with one or more POS (point of sale) ordering terminals is preferred.


• Full-time (32+ hours) availability is required to become a Sparrow Coffee barista. (Part-time positions available for other positions)
