Journeyman Automotive Service Technician (Union)

Job Summary

Haggerty Buick GMC is looking for an experienced Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team. We're seeking a highly skilled technician with strong diagnostic and repair abilities who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service. This is a union position.

Sign-On Bonus

• $1,000 paid upon hire

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications


• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning


• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues


• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer standards


• Communicate repair recommendations and additional service needs with the Service Advisor


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area


• Stay current on manufacturer training and new vehicle technologies

Qualifications

• Journeyman Automotive Technician certification or equivalent experience


• ASE Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)


• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills


• Experience repairing domestic vehicles preferred


• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment


• Excellent customer service and communication skills


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties
