Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Essential duties are those that an individual must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.


• Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.


• Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques.
  


• Installs and maintains various types of motors, lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, and transformers.


• Interprets blueprints; works from sketches or verbal instructions.


• Plans electrical secondary system additions and modifications.


• May perform the work of lower level electricians.


• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.


• Reads, employs and updates electrical panel schedules and building or system blueprints.


• Presents self in a professional manner, provides open and honest communication, and demonstrates respect to co-workers and customers.


• Prepares special reports and correspondence as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Current General Electrical Certification issued by the Department of Industrial Relationship, Division of Apprenticeship Standards.
  


• High School Diploma or equivalent.
