General position qualifications include:

• A four-year B.A. or B.S. in Health Informatics, Biology, Computer Science, IT, Information Systems or other technical degree, Nursing or other clinical field, a Master's in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Business or Communications.


• For Junior level jobs: 1 to 2 years relevant experience is desired.  Relevant fields are Computer Science, Information Technologies, Healthcare Informatics, Nursing and other clinical fields.


• For Mid-level jobs: 3 to 5 years relevant experience are desired.  Relevant fields are Computer Science, Information Technologies, Healthcare Informatics, data modeling, Healthcare IT data standards development, project management, business analysis, project management for US Federal healthcare projects, medical terminologies, HL7 knowledge, or enterprise data architecture.


• For Senior positions: 6 to 10 years of experience is required along with a master's degree or the equivalent.


• Subject Matter Expert:  Over 10 years of experience

Associate’s:                         1-year relevant experience, vocational or technical training in work-related field
Bachelor’s (B.A or B.S.):     Associate degree plus 2 years relevant experience, or 4 years relevant experience Professional certification
Master’s:                             Bachelor’s plus 2 years relevant experience, or Associate’s + 4 years relevant experience Professional license
Doctorate:                          Master’s plus 2 years relevant experience or bachelor’s plus 4 years relevant experience

** Two or more years of experience in a functional project area with a non-IT degree may be substituted
for an IT degree. This may apply to all labor categories.
