Impacto Media is seeking a bilingual Junior Editor to support editorial production across its print and digital publications. Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, the Junior Editor works closely with other editors and reporters to produce accurate, inclusive, and impactful coverage in English and Spanish. This highly collaborative role helps keep the editorial process moving forward by writing, editing and publishing content relevant to the local community, and supporting the timely delivery of a quality product each week that reflects Impacto’s missional commitments to community journalism.
The ideal candidate can work both independently and with a team, and is proactive, with strong organization, writing, and communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.
The Junior Editor position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who is fluent in English and Spanish and passionate about community journalism to build a career in this field during a period of expansion at Impacto.
In this role, the Junior Editor will support Impacto Media’s mission of ensuring that communities have a space where their voices are heard and their interests are represented. By highlighting stories, perspectives, and issues that are relevant to our readers, the Junior Editor will help foster a more informed, connected, and engaged community while strengthening participation in the region’s cultural and civic life.
