Junior Hardware Engineer

SAIC is seeking a Junior Hardware Engineer to support our team located in Huntsville, AL. 

The Junior Hardware Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties: 

• Translate client business requirements into specific system, application, and process designs for complex integrated solutions.


• Support development of system architectures and architecture baselines to address client business and mission needs.
  
   


• Assist in the development of integration and migration plans, schedules, and technical roadmaps.
  
   


• Contribute to transition planning activities, including analysis of operational, intelligence, and information requirements.
  
   


• Participate in the integration of systems and subsystems, ensuring interoperability across multiple platforms and environments.
  
   


• Support business process improvements and systems analysis for mission, system, and fiscal requirements.
  
   


• Act as an advocate for the client’s needs within the technical team to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
  
   


• Assist with oversight of the production and deployment of integrated systems, which may include work at customer sites.
  
   


• Support ISR and C4ISR programs, clients, or systems as required.
  
   


• Perform routine technical analyses by following established standards, practices, and procedures.
  
   


• Document technical findings, design decisions, and integration approaches in clear, concise artifacts.
  
   


• Collaborate with immediate supervisors, project leads, and other team members to accomplish assigned tasks.
  
   


• Execute assigned tasks according to detailed instructions, meeting established objectives and schedules.
  
   

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline and zero (0) years’ experience

Required Clearance:

• Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills: 

• Basic understanding of systems integration concepts, including interfaces, data flows, and interoperability.
• Limited but growing use of technical principles, theories, and concepts in systems engineering or systems integration.
• Ability to analyze routine technical problems and apply standard procedures to develop solutions.
• Familiarity with system or enterprise architecture concepts (e.g., baselines, transition states, migration planning) is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and work from detailed technical instructions, tasking, and requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
