Pay: $225,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year

Location: Miami, FL. This is a hybrid opportunity with meaningful flexibility. Attorneys are expected to maintain an active presence in the Miami office, but there is no fixed number of required in-office days.

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Florida and have 2+ years of land use experience. Direct experience preparing and processing development applications for significant residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects is required.

Job Description

• Represent clients in the preparation and processing of development applications for significant residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
• Assist clients through permitting and entitlement processes involving complex development matters.
• Work on zoning, land use, code enforcement, and ancillary land development issues.
• Coordinate with clients, government agencies, consultants, and other stakeholders throughout the development process.
• Research and analyze applicable land use regulations, zoning requirements, and development standards.
• Prepare application materials, correspondence, presentations, and other documents supporting project approvals.
• Assist experienced attorneys on sophisticated land development projects while developing increasing responsibility.
• Deliver responsive, practical guidance to clients navigating regulatory and development challenges.

Qualifications

• Florida Bar license required.
• 2+ years of land use experience.
• Experience preparing and processing development applications for significant residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments required.
• Experience with permitting, code enforcement, zoning, or related land development matters strongly valued.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Major law firm or relevant public sector experience preferred.
