Summary/Objective: The Junior Technician supports the installation of commercial window treatments on both new construction sites and finished spaces. This role requires a general understanding of construction, basic proficiency with hand tools, and a willingness to learn and grow within the trade.
Essential Functions
Follows the daily work plan as directed by the Lead Installer to complete assigned tasks.
Assists with on-site communication and coordination among team members.
Helps install a variety of commercial window treatments, including vertical blinds, horizontal blinds, manual and motorized shades, and associated components.
Safely operates hand tools, including power drills, screwdrivers, laser levels, hammers, and measuring tapes.
Reads and interprets basic architectural blueprints.
Performs work with enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering professional results.
Supports project documentation by maintaining punch lists and providing daily progress updates to the Operations team.
Lifts materials weighing up to 50 lbs. overhead and safely climbs ladders to assist in both single-person and two-person installations.
May work on elevated platforms up to 50 feet.
Adheres to all company safety protocols and promptly reports any safety concerns or violations.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a 40-hour workweek and possible overtime opportunities.
Travel Requirements:
This position primarily involves local travel during standard business hours. Occasional out-of-area or overnight travel may be required.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience as a junior carpenter or window treatment installer is preferred; however, we are willing to provide training to the right candidate.
Proficiency in the safe use of hand tools and a strong desire to learn various products and installation techniques from multiple manufacturers.
OSHA 10 certification is preferred. Training can be provided if necessary.
Additional Qualifications:
Participation in E-Verify for employment eligibility verification
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required.
