Caprock Academy is seeking an Occupational Therapist. Caprock Academy is a public, tuition-free school chartered by the Colorado Charter School Institute and utilizes the timeless principles of classically oriented education. As a person integral to Caprock Academy’s team, the Business Office Associate will maintain the integrity of, advocate for, and facilitate the implementation of Caprock Academy’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values of character, accountability and academics.
Caprock Academy follows the Core Knowledge© curriculum in grades K–8. This curriculum encompasses language arts, mathematics, science, history, geography, fine arts, and physical education. The curriculum is characterized by content-rich instruction, cumulative knowledge, content-specific lessons, and coherent sequencing. The foundation of our academics is rooted in classical education philosophy and pedagogy, following the grammar, logic and rhetoric trivium. The occupational therapist works on the acquisition of/or compensations for deficits in fine motor skills, sensory motor skills, visual motor and visual perceptual skills, and self-care skills. More specifically, occupational therapists work with students on foundation skills needed for school participation through task analysis, individually selected motor activities, and consultation with team members to modify the environment, the instructional methodology, or to support student achievement on a particular classroom/vocational project.
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Hourly non-Exempt
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part Time
WORK HOURS: no more than 12 hours per week
PAY RANGE: $37.46
REPORTS TO: Director of Support Services
