K-5 Instructional Coach

Instructional Coach — Grades K–5

Location: Central Academy, Pittsfield Acres Academy and Global Tech Academy — Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, MI | Local travel between campuses required

FLSA Status: Exempt  |  Full-Time

Reports To: Director of Curriculum and Instruction

POSITION SUMMARY

The K–5 Instructional Coach partners with classroom teachers to strengthen elementary instruction through co-planning, modeling, observation, data analysis, and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Valid Michigan teaching certificate with elementary endorsement

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of five (5) years of successful elementary teaching experience

  
  


• 
  

  Satisfactory criminal background check

  
  

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  

  Coach teachers one-on-one and in small groups through co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, and structured observation cycles

  
  


• 
  

  Analyze assessment data with the principal and school data team to identify instructional priorities

  
  


• 
  

  Introduce and support implementation of research-based instructional strategies and curriculum fidelity

  
  


• 
  

  Build teacher capacity to use assessment tools and respond to individual student needs

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with the principal to develop and facilitate targeted professional development

  
  


• 
  

  Meet regularly with other instructional coaches to align practices across GEE campuses

  
  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and standing for extended periods. Work environment includes elevated noise levels.
