We are looking for a Kia Service Technician to join our growing team at Oakes Kia of Olathe! The right candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics. Kia certification is a plus, but not required — we’ll support you in achieving certification as part of your career development.

This position is based in our brand-new, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned service facility, designed for comfort, efficiency, and technician growth.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance as assigned on repair orders efficiently and accurately

  
  


• 
  

  Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, electrical, and air conditioning

  
  


• 
  

  Use diagnostic equipment and special tools to test components and systems

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate with Service Advisors to ensure customers are informed about needed repairs and timelines

  
  


• 
  

  Execute warranty repairs in accordance with Kia and manufacturer guidelines

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  2+ years of experience as an automotive technician preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Kia or ASE Certifications preferred (we’ll help you earn them!)

  
  


• 
  

  Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work efficiently and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
