Early Childhood Coordinator

POSITION

Crossroads Bible Church is seeking a Kid’s Ministry Early Childhood Coordinator who has a heart and a talent for engaging with families and young children. This position plays an integral role in how young families experience Crossroads Kids on Sunday Mornings and with creating and maintaining midweek programming. It is an important role that supports the families who attend throughout the week, and the serve team members who work directly with the children.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with the Kid’s Ministry Director, Women’s Ministry team, and Curriculum Coordinator to create safe, clean, age-appropriate environments where young children grow in their knowledge of the Word while families are supported and moms are fed spiritually.


• Recruit, develop, shepherd, and schedule leaders, assistant leaders, and Serve Team members for Midweek programs and Sunday morning Early Childhood programming.


• Assist with Kid’s Ministry events as needed.


• Set up and maintain Planning Center Check-Ins and Services for midweek programming and Sunday morning Early Childhood needs.


• Collaborate with the Kid’s Ministry Director on curriculum decisions for Midweek programming.


• Attend team meetings with Kid’s Ministry Staff.


• Attend the main service weekly.


• Attend all-staff and prayer meetings.

Job Specifications

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Experience as a preschool teacher recommended.


• Experience with preschool children required.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to train, delegate, and empower.


• Use of productivity software, email, filesharing, and online communication software for project management and scheduling.


• Ability to get people excited about joining the serve team.

Internal/External Relations Requirement

• A track record of servant leadership, humility, and teachable in spirit.


• Commitment to spread ownership of CBC’s vision and core values to each area of ministry and involve appropriately.


• Demonstrates the godly character as outlined in 1Timothy 3 and Titus 1


• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality.

Creative & Analytical Requirement

• Strategic planning and utilization of resources and volunteers.


• Creative thinking for event planning and organizational problem solving.

Managerial/Leadership Responsibilities

• Recruit, supervise, and shepherd our Early Childhood Serve Team.

Financial Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring good stewardship and accurate spending of the department’s budget. The goal of which should be to enable powerful ministry while being able to stay within budget constraints.


• Be a part of budget planning.

Physical Factors & Working Conditions

• In office working conditions, 40 hours per week, agreed upon schedule with supervisor.

POSITION RELATIONSHIPS

• Shall be directly accountable to the Kids Ministries Director.
  


• Collaborate with other teams for approved projects.
  


• All paid staff (including their immediate family if they are married or have kids) should call CBC their home church, and as such, model regular attendance and involvement as a member of Crossroads.

POSITION DETAILS

• Non-exempt, Full-time, 40 hours per week.


• Sunday (starting at 8 am), Monday to Thursday flexible work hours to be determined with supervisor.


• Occasional Friday and Saturday work depending on events.


• Easter, Christmas Eve, second Sunday of September are blackout dates – including three weeks prior.


• Hourly pay rate $22.00 - $27.00
