Job Description - Kindergarten Readiness Collaboration Coordinator - Full Time

Overview:


The Kindergarten Readiness Collaboration Coordinator (KRCC) plays a critical role in advancing Future Ready Five's mission to ensure children enter kindergarten prepared for success. This position supports preschool and pre-K classrooms across Franklin County by administering developmental screeners and delivering targeted, small-group literacy interventions based on assessment data.


The KRCC partners closely with educators and families to strengthen early learning environments and promote sustainable instructional practices. In addition to direct child support, the KRCC empowers families by sharing assessment results, recommending resources, and facilitating workshops or office hours that position parents and caregivers as their child's first teacher.


This role combines assessment, instruction, coaching, and family engagement to create aligned, data-informed kindergarten readiness supports.


Work Schedule:Required hours are 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, in preschool classrooms throughout Franklin County. Afternoon and evening hours vary based on FR5 program needs. Both part-time and full-time positions are available.


Duties and Responsibilities


(Responsibilities may vary based on full-time or part-time status.)



  1. Assessment Administration (Required)



  • Travel to preschool centers throughout Franklin County during screening periods.

  • Administer developmental screeners using standardized tools provided by Future Ready Five.

  • Ensure fidelity to screening protocols and maintain accurate documentation of results.



  1. Classroom Intervention & Instructional Support



  • Travel to centers to provide targeted, small-group preschool and pre-K literacy interventions informed by assessment data and individualized child reports.

  • Collaborate with teachers and center directors to integrate interventions seamlessly into classroom routines.

  • Coach educators through in-class modeling, observation, and feedback to strengthen developmentally appropriate literacy practices.

  • Maintain detailed records of intervention plans, service delivery, and individual child progress.



  1. Organization, Compliance & Dependability



  • Maintain strict confidentiality of child and family data in compliance with organizational and legal standards.

  • Meet documentation, reporting, and communication deadlines.

  • Manage time effectively to balance screenings, interventions, family support, and travel between sites.

  • Maintain organized, up-to-date digital records to support program monitoring and continuous improvement.



  1. Professional Practice & Continuous Improvement



  • Participate in required training and calibration to ensure fidelity to assessment tools and intervention models.

  • Serve as a liaison between FR5, early childhood education centers, families, and community partners to promote shared kindergarten readiness goals.

  • Attend regular team meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning opportunities.

  • Maintain professional boundaries and ethical conduct at all times.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission of Future Ready Five.


Qualifications


Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience working with young children in educational or community-based settings.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families and educators.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to evolving program needs.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily within Franklin County.

  • Successful FBI/BCI background check (required for work in child care settings).


Preferred:



  • Experience administering developmental screeners.

  • Background in literacy instruction or early childhood intervention.

  • Coaching or professional development experience with educators.

  • Occasional evening and weekend availability.

  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.
