Kitchen Closing Shift Lead

$18.50/hour | Evening/Closing Shift | Typically until approximately 11:30 PM

We’re looking for a Kitchen Closing Shift Lead to take ownership of our kitchen during the final stretch of the day. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can keep the team moving, maintain high standards, and make sure the kitchen is clean, stocked, organized, and ready to go for the next morning.

You won’t just be cleaning up at the end of the night. You’ll be leading the close.

As the Closing Captain, you’ll help set the pace for the evening crew, make sure responsibilities are getting completed correctly and on time, jump in wherever the team needs help, and complete the final walkthrough before everyone heads home.

What You’ll Own

• Lead and motivate the kitchen closing team
• Assign and follow up on closing responsibilities
• Keep the shift organized, productive, and on schedule
• Work alongside the team — this is a hands-on leadership role
• Make sure food is properly stored, labeled, rotated, and put away
• Ensure equipment, work areas, floors, dishes, and kitchen spaces are cleaned to standard
• Confirm restocking and preparation are completed for the following day
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Identify anything that needs attention and communicate it to management
• Complete a final walkthrough of the kitchen before the team leaves
• Help create a positive, accountable environment where everyone works together to finish strong

The Schedule

This is an evening closing position, with shifts generally running through approximately 11:30 PM, depending on business volume and how quickly the team completes the close.

Pay

$18.50 per hour
