What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring quality, efficiency, and food safety.
- Prepare nutritious, delicious meals tailored to resident preferences and dietary needs.
- Train, coach, and support kitchen team members while fostering a positive work environment.
- Manage food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen that meets all health and safety standards.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency at every meal.
- Partner with the Regional Culinary Director on menus, seasonal offerings, and special events.
- Support dining service and collaborate with care teams to provide an exceptional resident experience.
- Complete inventory and food service documentation accurately and on time.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of supervisory experience in a kitchen or culinary setting preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with older adults is a plus.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable using commercial kitchen equipment, utensils, and cleaning tools.
