Our Quality Team is looking for Technical Supervisor/Consultant to manage technical and quality operations for up to ten of the Company's client laboratories located nationwide. Travel to client worksites to conduct mock inspections and be part of the team that contributes to general consulting efforts, identifies systemic issues, create effective workflows and implement process improvements to fulfill our mission of making quality laboratory testing more accessible.
Must be located near a national airport and be able to travel nationwide up to 50% of the time (about 130 workdays annually) completing 2-3 inspections per month. Enjoy working remotely from home between travels.
Qualifications / Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Science (Chemical, Physical, Biological or Clinical), or Medical Technology.
Minimum of 4 years laboratory experience that included high complexity testing for the specialty of chemistry, adherence to clinical laboratory regulations, and the preparation and lead of laboratory accreditation and licensing surveys/inspections.
Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, COLA, and ISO laboratory regulations.
BASIC DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Serves as Technical Supervisor/Consultant for up to 10 of the Company’s client laboratories and fulfills all responsibilities provided by 42 C.F.R. § 493.1413 and 493.1451, as well as requirements provided by state and local statutes and regulations, and requirements of accrediting organizations requiring oversight of the laboratory as Technical Supervisor.
Serves as Laboratory Director for up to 5 moderate complexity laboratories and fulfills all responsibilities provided by 42 C.F.R. § 493.1407, as well as requirements provided by state and local statutes and regulations, and requirements of accrediting organizations requiring oversight of the laboratory as Laboratory Director.
Prepares client laboratories for surveys and inspections by regulatory or accrediting bodies.
Travels to make in-person visits to client laboratories to lead surveys and inspections by licensing and accrediting bodies, and mock inspections to review quality records and procedures and implement any needed corrective actions.
Prepare and/or update Client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Executes pro-active, independent, strategic project management, planning, and organization.
Accepts and completes quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) projects and task management.
Completes documentation and record-keeping requirements and assignments.
Identifies areas for improvement and implements process improvement initiatives.
Promptly responds to communications from clients and helps to resolve issues and questions.
Focuses and supports team-oriented approach with high-level communication.
Continuously develops subject-matter expertise and ensures adherence to all applicable laws and regulations together with CLIA, COLA, and CAP rules, requirements, and regulations.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
$80,000 - $90,000 based on experience
