Laborer/Grounds Maintenance

FSI is looking for a hardworking and dependable Grounds Maintenance Laborer to help maintain the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. If you enjoy working outdoors and have experience in commercial landscaping, this is a great opportunity to grow with a supportive team.

Job Summary:

As a Grounds Maintenance Laborer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining gardens, HOA properties, and other outdoor landscapes across industrial, commercial, and public sites. Your work will ensure plant health, clean facilities, and safe, attractive grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim, and edge lawns, flower beds, and walkways


• Prune shrubs and trees to promote healthy growth


• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides


• Rake leaves, clean litter, and maintain drainage areas


• Shovel snow and spread salt to prevent ice buildup


• Plant and water grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs


• Repair and paint fences, gates, walls, and outbuildings


• Sharpen and maintain landscaping tools and equipment


• Perform minor repairs on mowers, spreaders, and snow removal gear

• High school diploma or GED


• 1–3 months of related experience or training


• Experience in commercial landscape maintenance


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record


• Ability to pass a background check for base access

 Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and handle tools


• Must be able to lift/move up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
