Job Description - Laminator Machine Operator - Night Shift
Schedule: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM | 12-hour continental schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next) | Off every other weekend Job Type: Full-Time
Overview
We are seeking a Laminator Operator I to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate laminating equipment, mix adhesives, monitor product quality, and support safe, efficient production operations. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced machine operators, manufacturing associates, and production professionals looking to grow their careers in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate laminating equipment safely and efficiently
Mix adhesives according to established formulas and production requirements
Verify product quality and first-piece conformance to specifications
Read and interpret job orders and production documentation
Calculate and verify adhesive requirements for production runs
Load raw materials, manage substrates, and replenish adhesives as needed
Set up and operate related equipment, including lathe machinery when required
Maintain equipment and work areas in compliance with safety, quality, and sanitation standards
Handle hazardous waste according to company procedures
Report quality, safety, food safety, and operational concerns promptly
Assist with machine coverage, audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and other assigned duties
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of machine operator experience
Experience measuring materials and working with chemicals
Ability to accurately read a ruler or tape measure
Basic math and calculation skills
Ability to follow written work instructions and production specifications
Strong commitment to safety, attendance, and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
Laminator operator experience
Manufacturing, production, converting, printing, packaging, or industrial equipment experience
Work Environment
Manufacturing and production facility environment
Exposure to machinery, adhesives, chemicals, and industrial equipment
Requires standing, walking, lifting, and working around moving equipment
Work areas may be noisy, dusty, or dirty at times
