Job Description

Shift: Night
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; 2/2/3 rotating schedule 
Pay Rate: $20.00
Shift Premium: $1.00 


 


Position Overview
The Laminator Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining laminating equipment to bond multiple layers of materials together according to precise specifications and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in the manufacturing production line, ensuring products meet dimensional, aesthetic, and functional requirements while maintaining safety protocols and production efficiency.

Operate industrial laminating machinery to combine materials such as plastics, films, paper, foil, or composite materials into finished or semi-finished products. The operator monitors machine performance, conducts quality inspections, and makes necessary adjustments to maintain consistent output that meets customer specifications and company quality standards.


 


Essential Functions & Responsibilities



  • Follow all Sealed Air rules and regulations while working safely and utilizing PPE protocol.

  • Work with float to ensure jobs are being cut to meet customer demand

  • Operate machine safely to obtain a quality product

  • Troubleshoot machine issues and involve Plant Maintenance when needed

  • Assist float or complete setups as needed

  • Ensure the oncoming shift has clear direction as to how to proceed at turnover

  • Complete and record all quality checks

  • Make sure equipment is properly staffed throughout shift

  • Send required information to pack out

  • Follow all special job instructions (SPI’s) on paperwork 

  • Let Core Cutter know if special needs arise

  • Print pallet labels, fill out documentation, and perform SAP entry (float may assist if available)

  • Perform second party QC checks for other Operators as needed

  • File job packets and deliver customer sample packets to PC group as needed

  • Work with Production Control in sharing ways to minimize machine downtime.

  • Attend departmental and safety meetings when scheduled.

  • Other additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Required:



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent 

  • Must have good communication skills both personal and via Email

  • Multiple slitter experience preferred

  • Must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve

  • Tolerate standing, pushing, pulling during 12 hours on a concrete floor

  • Must have good interpersonal skills

  • Must have good judgment with decision-making regarding Quality and Fitness-for-use of materials

  • Ability to complete production-related documentation on both computer and paper forms

  • Excellent organizational skills, planning ability, and attention to detail

  • Must have the ability to work within a team

  • Ability to take direction from several individuals

  • Willingness to work overtime if needed

  • Self-motivated

  • Ability to multitask
