Landscaper - Full Time/ Year Round

Description

We are looking for a team member who loves the outdoors, is observant, able to follow check lists and wants to be part of the crew that contributes to the overall natural and physical beauty of the Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Spa Resort. In keeping with the natural or ecological landscape here, it is desirable that the candidate either has experience in that type of landscape and or a desire to learn these skills.

The Landscaper will participate in organic and sustainable landscape maintenance practices and gardening projects as directed by the Landscape Manager. Tasks include, but are not limited to pruning, trimming, mulching, weeding, seeding, transplanting, fertilizing, amending, irrigation design and installation as well as repairs, all manner of watering, deadheading, shoveling, raking, sweeping, composting, repair and up keep of stone work, maintenance of pathways, water channels, operating standard landscaping equipment, tractor work, maintaining records in the form of checklists, tool inventory and maintenance. Previous experience is a plus as well as an ability to multi task. Training is available. Applicant must be agile and dexterous. Good communication skills and a positive attitude are requisite. Dependability and the ability to follow instructions as well as working alone and with the team is required. Good body mechanics are important. A willingness to be in the great outdoors at all times regardless of weather conditions is a must.

Full time and part time positions are available. Some weekend work would be required.
