Join the team at InterContinental The Clement Monterey, located on beautiful Cannery Row! We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Full-Time Laundry Attendant who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.

As a Laundry Attendant, you will play an important role in supporting our Housekeeping team and creating an exceptional experience for our guests. You will be responsible for ensuring a consistent supply of clean, fresh, and properly maintained linens throughout the hotel.

What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organized, team-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, can manage multiple tasks at once, and brings a positive attitude and passion for hospitality.

What You’ll Do

• Wash, dry, sort, fold, iron, and distribute hotel linens, towels, napkins, and other laundry items.


• Inspect linens and towels for stains, tears, damage, and overall quality.


• Treat stains using appropriate procedures and identify items that should be removed from service.


• Properly organize and store clean linens and maintain appropriate inventory levels.


• Load and organize linen carts for distribution throughout the hotel.


• Safely operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment.


• Keep laundry equipment, work areas, dryer screens, filters, and drain traps clean and properly maintained.


• Report equipment or maintenance concerns promptly and coordinate with Engineering when necessary.


• Maintain appropriate levels of laundry supplies and detergents.


• Work closely with the Housekeeping team to ensure linen and product levels meet daily hotel needs.


• Follow all hotel safety, cleanliness, service, and operational standards.


• Assist with deep-cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of laundry experience preferred


• Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred


• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus


• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of 8+ hours


• Ability to stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds


• Ability to push and pull approximately 200 pounds

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for assisting the Room Attendants, Lobby Cleaning, and Guest Request and servicing guest rooms in order to provide a comfortable and memorable experience for guests. Additional responsibilities may include assisting in public areas, answer guest inquiries, delivering items to guest rooms, restocking and assisting with special cleaning projects. The Laundry Attendant is an integral part of our team at the property and works side by side with managers and associates on a day-to-day basis to anticipate and meet guest’s needs. We are looking for someone who will help us continue to develop memorable guest experiences.
