Lead Assembler-1st Shift

A Lead Assembler at D&H Industries oversees the Tactical Department in day-to-day operations. The Lead ensures that safety and quality standards are being met. The Lead will assist with training and troubleshooting of equipment. 

THE SCHEDULE

SCHEDULE: This is a 1st Shift position.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., 10-hour shifts. Subject to change based on business need.  

Subject to change based on business need. Typically, the work schedule is between 8-to 10-hour shifts throughout the year. Any Saturday work (6 hour shift) is based on business need and is voluntary.

THE WHAT

What will you be doing?

• Assigns tasks to employees working in the Tactical Department.
• Provides training and communication to employees working in the Tactical Department to ensure that procedures are followed and meet quality standards.
• Use work instructions to assemble and produce parts.
• Inspect parts to ensure customer specifications and quality are met.
• Perform basic measurements using quality measurement equipment and documenting results.
• May be assigned to work in other areas of the production floor as needed to meet production deadlines. We will train you how to operate a press and to spot weld.

What You Bring

• Skills-Basic reading, writing and math skills. Ability to read measurements in metric and traditional scale. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Education-HS diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or equivalent in skilled trade preferred.
• Experience and/or Training-At least three years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred. Experience in a lead role preferred.
• Physical Demands-Ability to stand up to 10 hours per shift. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Technology/Equipment-Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
