THE JOB:

As a Lead Barista at Starbucks, you’ll take charge of daily operations, ensuring the team runs efficiently in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. You’ll oversee deployment, handle guest interactions, and support your team during busy periods. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on coffee expertise, making it perfect for someone with supervisory experience and a love for the art of coffee.

THE STARTING RATE: $20.7781

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee shifts across multiple locations, including two Starbucks and the deli, ensuring smooth operations

• Deploy baristas to key stations and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency

• Address guest concerns, resolve complaints, and handle voids or refunds using the POS system

• Support the bar during peak times, operating equipment like espresso machines, nitro machines, and cold drip brewers

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards

• Foster a collaborative, positive work environment, addressing team challenges and managing strong personalities

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Six months experience as a food handler, counter attendant, fountain worker or cashier in a high-volume food establishment

• Supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a coffee shop or fast-paced Food & Beverage setting is preferred

• Familiarity with Starbucks operations, including mobile orders and specialty equipment like espresso machines is preferred

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
