Job Description - Lead CDL A Instructor Home Daily, Local Job with Paid Training Provided

Are you an experienced CDL A Driver looking to advance your career? 160 Driving Academy is seeking a Lead CDL A Instructor to mentor instructors and guide students, preparing them for success in the trucking industry. As a Lead Instructor, you’ll be home daily while making a positive impact. This role provides paid training and the opportunity to grow as a leader within our organization.
Lead CDL A Instructor Requirements:

CDL Class A license with 24+ months of verified tractor-trailer driving experience
Experience as a CDL A Instructor (leadership experience preferred)
Clean driving record, with the ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol tests
Basic computer skills for managing schedules and reports
Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
Available for a 40-hour work week

Key Responsibilities as a Lead CDL A Instructor:

Mentor and Support Instructors: Ensure that CDL A Instructors deliver effective, engaging training
Oversee Student Training: Lead Pre-Trip, Yard Skills, and Road Driving instruction to students
Emphasize Safety: Promote safety and professional driving standards at all times
Monitor Progress: Track student readiness for the CDL exam and support instructors as needed
