Lead Mechanical Engineer – Holland, Michigan

DISHER is currently partnering with an architecture and engineering firm that specializes in the food and beverage industry and is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Holland, Michigan. In this role, you will work on entire systems and build direct relationships with the clients.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor other engineers.

• Prepare and design food processing systems with detailed construction documents, equipment sizing, system design and specification
• Develop and implement expertise in a wide variety of complex and high efficiency mechanical systems
• Create and maintain positive relationships of trust with clients regarding your area of expertise
• Become a subject matter expert in food and beverage processing systems to help develop a new team in a new location

• 7+ years of experience in steam and condensate systems, chilled water systems, cooling water, water treatment or compressed air. HVAC experience is a plus
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Professional Engineer Certificate is preferred
• Passionate about designing for the food and beverage industries
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to lead a team
• Understand and embody a client-service attitude
• Intellectual curiosity, willingness to learn and desire to be challenged and grow
• Genuine and responsible approach to work, following through with required tasks and working for the success of the team and organization.
• Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations.
