Lead Pipefitter

Urban Infraconstruction is a leading heavy civil contractor specializing in water, wastewater, underground utilities, and infrastructure construction. We are committed to delivering high-quality projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, integrity, and teamwork.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Pipefitter to lead field crews on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for supervising daily pipe installation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure crews have the necessary equipment, materials, and information.


• Read and interpret construction drawings, piping isometrics, P&IDs, and project specifications.
  


• Install and oversee installation of:
  
  
  
  • Mechanical piping systems
  
  
  • Process piping
  
  
  • Carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, and copper piping
  
  
  • Valves, pumps, fittings, and piping supports
    
  
  
  
  


• Verify pipe alignment, elevations, and grades.
  


• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.


• Monitor crew productivity and maintain daily production goals.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience installing mechanical piping systems, preferably on water/wastewater treatment plants, industrial facilities, or heavy civil projects.
  


• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Foreman or Leadman.


• Experience installing and coordinating:
  
  
  
  • Process piping
  
  
  • Mechanical piping
  
  
  • Above-ground piping systems
  
  
  • Pumps, valves, and mechanical equipment
    
  
  
  
  


• Valid Driver License
