Lead PreK Teacher

The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead PreK Teacher to join our team in Fair Lawn, NJ. This role involves creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for pre-kindergarten students, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development. The ideal candidate will be committed to early childhood education and skilled at designing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for PreK students.


• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.


• Observe and assess each child’s progress and communicate regularly with parents and staff.


• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to enhance the educational experience.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with school policies and regulations.


• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.


• Relevant certification for teaching PreK is highly desirable.


• Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting.


• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work anywhere from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
