Join team Micron and make a difference!\n\nAs a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Layout Lead at Micron Technology, Inc., you will guide and support PCB layout designers in developing complex, high-performance printed circuit boards. We seek a dynamic and motivated technical leader with a strong background in PCB design who can help establish, apply, and maintain layout standards and workflows for the team.\n\nThe ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of high-speed design, signal integrity, and power delivery techniques. This role requires close collaboration with multiple designers, engineers, and external fabrication and manufacturing partners to ensure efficient design outcomes. You will assist designers at all experience levels in resolving design challenges and will contribute to the successful development of complex PCB designs. This is a full-time, on-site position in Boise Idaho, relocation is required if outside the Boise area.\n\nIf this career opportunity sounds exciting to you, then come join our team!!\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTeam Leadership \u0026 Support\n\n * Leadership \u0026 Mentorship: Provide technical supervision, performance management, and career development for the HVM PCB layout team.\n * Standards \u0026 Quality: Establish and enforce PCB layout standards, documentation guidelines, and a culture of continuous improvement.\n * Process Optimization: Identify and implement systems, tools, and workflow enhancements to increase efficiency.\n\nEngineering Management Institute +5\n\n\n\n\nTechnical Execution\n\n * Design \u0026 Verification: Guide the creation of high-quality layouts using Siemens Xpedition tools and modify schematics as required.\n * DFM/DFA Integration: Apply Design-for-Manufacturability and Design-for-Assembly guidelines to ensure production-ready designs.\n * Technical Review \u0026 Resolution: Lead design reviews and collaborate with vendors to resolve complex fabrication or assembly issues.\n\nSiemens Blog Network +4\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\n * Experience: 10+ years of hands-on, high-performance PCB layout experience.\n * Leadership: 7+ years managing technical design teams, including mentoring and performance management.\n * Technical Expertise: Mastery of manual placement/routing with deep knowledge of SI, PDN, DFM, and DFA principles.\n * Education: Associate\u2019s degree or equivalent practical experience in PCB development or electronics.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Software \u0026 Data Mastery: Expert proficiency in Siemens Xpedition and experience with Teamcenter/EDM for workflow integration.\n * Certification: Active IPC Designer Certification (CID or CID+).\n * Process Excellence: Proven track record in defining documentation standards and leading tool/process improvement initiatives.\n\n\n\n## \n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nPCB Designer 6 (Supervisory)\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
