Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our childcare team in Salina, KS. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment, developing curriculum, and guiding students to achieve their full potential. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning and meet curriculum standards.


• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments tailored to student needs and abilities.


• Lead classroom management and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to promote academic growth.


• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to enhance educational programs and initiatives.


• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.


• Mentor and support assistant teachers and teaching aides as needed.


• Stay current with educational best practices, standards, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, or CDA


• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.


• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.


• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.


• Proficient with educational technology and classroom management tools.
