Performs all paperwork, technical, and non-technical procedures required to process and submit specimens. Assigns specific computer generated identification numbers, checks for accuracy, and records all items processed. Forwards accessioned specimens to designated laboratory location(s); and locating and correcting any discrepancies. Learns and keeps familiar with lab procedures and location of stored specimens. Locates specimens and pulls from various departments as requested. Administrative: Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.
Machine: Personal computer.
Physical Demands: Speech clarity, utilization of fingers and hands, standing-remaining on one’s feet in an upright position, sitting-remaining in the normal seated position, handling-seizing, holding, grasping.  Moderate physical effort (up to 30 pounds); must comply with applicable safety procedures. Additional job duty (as assigned):  (Hazardous Chemical Waste Management) Proper identification of known hazardous material in the work place.  The knowledge of personal protection measures.  The avoidance of accidents.  The knowledge of hazardous waste characteristics, hazardous waste volume generation limits, accumulation limits, spill control measures, record keeping, proper handling and container management, labeling, container and storage inspection.
Working Conditions: Possible exposure to infection from disease-bearing specimens; regularly exposed to the risk of blood-borne diseases; must comply with applicable safety procedures.
Vision Requirements: Far acuity-ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more; near acuity-ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; depth perception-ability to judge distance and space relationships; color vision-ability to distinguish and identify different colors.
License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/1-3 years of experience.

General Description:
Typically leads highly complex or enterprise critical projects supporting our Supply Chain Management Center that require expertise in one or more technical environments or disciplines. Is responsible for leading application analysis, design, development, integration and enhancement.  Typically involved in multiple, concurrent technical projects and/or support efforts.

Summary of Duties:
Participates in short- and long-term planning sessions with customers to improve business processes and to prioritize investments in process, people, services, and infrastructure and works closely with Technical Review Board and architects to assure all systems are in line with IT long-term strategy.
*  Identifies enterprise information systems opportunities that align with corporate strategy and performance.
*  Proactively analyze the existing applications to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements and may oversee or lead the evaluation and selection process for application packages.
*  Provides buy vs. build recommendations, including advising on system options, risk, cost versus benefits, and impacts on business processes and goals.
*  Identifies system requirements; develops application specifications; leads conversion and migration efforts; creates the ongoing maintenance of applications; develops convergence plans toward standards, as needed.
*  Establishes liaison relationships with business partners and/or suppliers in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs and influence strategic initiatives.
*  Assesses customer needs to determine alignment of unit/corporation business needs and the impact on business processes to establish strategic priorities. Advises customer(s) on options, risks and cost vs benefits.
*  Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, form of desired results, and integration of components.
*  Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Identifies better sources of data feeds and interfaces with architects to ensure its feasibility with corporate data warehouse, when needed.
* Ensures the adherence to quality standards and procedures. Reviews modules for quality assurance and ensures compliance with application architecture standards and oversees unit testing to ensure applications meet specifications.
*  Leads the development of guidelines and standards to be utilized in software development/ integration including developing and leading implementation plans for integration testing. Interfaces with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process.
*  Oversees and may handle Tier II (application) and Tier III (integration) support.
*  Provides technical guidance or business process expertise, technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members.
*  Builds business councils, develops governance agreements between customers and developers develops reports and presentations for senior management, and facilitates planning processes

Basic Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in programming / systems or computer science, specialized training, certification or equivalent relevant work experience.   Has a broad level of understanding surrounding information systems.
• Experience leading projects.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written).
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience working with Ariba solutions (Spend Analysis, Sourcing, Sourcing Projects, Supplier Performance Management, Buyer).
• Proficient using Ariba Markup Language, Java, Ariba integration tool kit.

Additional Qualifications:
• Prefer 7 years of experience of programming / systems analysis, or computer related technical activities.
• Proven ability to work on teams in a matrix environment.
