Job Description - Learning Support Specialist â Special Education Setting

Inclusive Learning Specialist (Full-Time Opportunity)

Are you passionate about helping students succeed and making a meaningful impact in education? We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team and support students with diverse learning needs throughout the academic year.

In this role, youâll play a key part in empowering students and shaping positive educational outcomes through specialized instruction and support.

What Youâll Do:

Monitor and evaluate student progress through data-driven practices

Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with student goals.

Participate in evaluations, team meetings, and multidisciplinary planning.

Partner with general education teachers to promote inclusive classroom strategies.

Create, implement, and manage compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Requirements

Bachelorâs degree from an accredited college or university.

Completion of a recognized Special Education preparation program.

Strong understanding of IDEA guidelines and IEP development.

Valid Washington State Special Education Teaching Certification (Pâ12) or eligibility to obtain.

Successful completion of required Washington state certification exams (e.g., WEST-E or equivalent).
