Job Description - Liaison Consultant

Maintains existing relationships with state operators and / or Associations. Identifies and contacts prospective operators in assigned states and / or associations regarding sponsorships. Works under general supervision.
Oversight of yearly action items outlined by state and / or association contracts.
Attends liaison programs in designated state and / or associations throughout the year.
Attends conferences on the behalf and with the state operators and / or association members to promote programs.
Prepares agenda and leads state and / or association meetings.
Prepares action plans and schedules to identify specific opportunities to strengthen liaison presence in states and / or associations.
Strengthens relationships with state and / or associations by providing support, information, and guidance; and researching and recommending new opportunities or improvements.
Works in cooperation with production to successfully implement state and / or association meetings.
Develops and refines sales and marketing techniques for liaison.
Promote and sell additional services and software to associations.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by researching the oil and gas industry, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by actively participating in staff and team meetings.
Travel requirements estimated at 30-40%.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of one-year sales, or other related experience required.
Effective sales and negotiating skills and proven sales experience/history.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and job instructions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to clients, coworkers, and management.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, coworkers and management.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and multitask.
Ability to operate computer software, to including Microsoft Office products and CRM.
Ability to use basic department equipment and tools, such as telephone, computer, and copy machine.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

The work environment is usually a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor setting with adequate ventilation. The noise level in the work environment is typically low.
This position requires frequent travel to offsite locations. Conditions will vary from site-to-site.
