Licensed Customs Broker

HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Licensed Customs Broker is responsible for entry filing, classification, and post-entry work for a customs brokerage's importer base while ensuring compliance with CBP rules and regulations.

This is a hybrid position based near Rahway, NJ.

EXPECTATIONS

· Prepare and submit import entry documentation to US Customs and other government agencies
· Classify merchandise under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS), including Chapter 99 tariff provisions
· Handle post-entry work including Post Summary Corrections (PSC), protests, and refund claims
· Prepare and support Fines, Penalties, and Forfeitures (FP&F) petitions for relief
· Respond to CBP inquiries, including Forms 28 and 29
· Work with the operations team on exception handling and holds
· Communicate directly with importers on documentation and compliance issues

ESSENTIALS

· Active Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) required, or recently passed the exam pending license
· Experience with import entry processing (willing to train up if needed)
· Comfortable with high volume and software-driven workflows
· Clear written communication skills with clients and CBP
· Experience with ACE, NetCHB, or similar systems a plus
· Mandarin or Cantonese language ability a plus
