About the Role
As a Residential Service Electrician, you are the hands-on expert and the face of our company. Your primary purpose is to diagnose, repair, install, and update residential electrical systems while delivering an unmatched experience to homeowners.
This role is critical to our mission: keeping families safe and ensuring their homes’ electrical systems are reliable and fully up to date. From simple fixture installs to complex panel upgrades and complete rewiring, you will evaluate home safety, educate homeowners on solutions, and perform work that gives customers total peace of mind.

On-Target Earnings (OTE): Established mid-level performers have targeted annual earning potential of approximately $88,000 to $100,000+, hourly pay plus performance-based commission opportunity.
Actual earnings vary based on individual performance, hours worked, and other compensation-plan factors.
Stronger performers can exceed this range, and exceptional top performers may have the opportunity to earn $150,000 and more.

Work Location Flexibility: Dispatch directly from home.
Technical Execution: Diagnose complex electrical issues, perform installations, service upgrades, panel replacements, and rewiring accurately and safely the first time.
Customer Education & Safety: Conduct thorough home safety evaluations, educate homeowners on findings, and present tailored options to bring their electrical systems up to full code and safety standards.
Process Mastery: Consistently execute our proven service and communication processes on every call to maximize customer satisfaction and production.
Digital Documentation: Utilize an iPad to manage dispatches, document job details, present options, and communicate efficiently in the field.
Team Participation: Engage in weekly 2-hour team meetings for ongoing technical training, communication coaching, and personal development.
Jobsite Professionalism: Maintain a clean work environment, take care of your company vehicle, and represent the brand with pride.
Required & Preferred Experience
Residential Background: Minimum 2–4+ years of professional residential electrical service, repair, or renovation experience.
Licensing: Journeyman Card or higher preferred (Journeyman card required for larger Charlotte-area projects).
Quick Learner & Process Adopter: Must be open-minded, adaptable, and quick to pick up new processes. Mr. Electric teaches our Service Professionals a proprietary process called C.U.S.T.O.M.E.R. - a structured system designed to help homeowners fully understand what is needed to bring their home up to code, ensure complete safety, and prioritize essential updates. Following this system consistently and with commitment is the proven key to unlocking your success.
Positive Attitude Toward Training: Willingness to receive coaching, participate in ride-alongs/reviews, and continuously refine your communication and technical skills.
Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
Tech Savvy: Comfortable using tablets and modern field software; experience with ServiceTitan is a major plus!
Education: Technical training or an Associate Degree in an electrical/construction field is a bonus.
