Licensed Veterinary Technician - Surgery

• Perform all essential duties of a Veterinary Technician
• Provide support to all veterinarians, often assisting more than one on your shift
• Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity based on position
• Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing
• Provide diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients
• Properly use and maintain medical equipment
• Provide professional client communication
• Helps keep hospital areas clean and neat, maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Maintains client and patient confidentiality
• Meet or exceed performance standards for work quality and productivity
• Meet or exceed LVVSC expectations for attendance and punctuality
• Act as an ambassador of LVVSC at all times, displaying consideration, courtesy, compassion, and professionalism
• Other duties vary based on role and department

• Experience working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in a general practice, preference will be given to those with experience within veterinary specialty hospital setting. Surgery department position requires current or recent considerable experience in surgery assistance and anesthesia. 
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community we serve
