Position: Life Enrichment Director - Full Time

Pay: Depending on Experience

The applicant must have a desire to work with seniors and be compassionate, caring, and creative. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and have knowledge of the domains of wellness as they relate to programming in long-term care.

Position Highlights:

• 
  

  Lead the Life Enrichment team and provide support while developing and implementing a well-rounded Life Enrichment program for all patients, including evenings and weekends, holidays, and special events

  
  


• 
  

  Complete assessments, care plans, and associated paperwork in a timely manner

  
  


• 
  

  Facilitate monthly Patient Council meetings

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise Life Enrichment/Activities Assistants, including training, scheduling, and evaluations

  
  


• 
  

  Manage the center volunteer program, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding programming are met

  
  


• 
  

  Partner with other departments to support marketing efforts in the community

  
  


• 
  

  Perform other duties as assigned

  
  

Experience & Qualifications:

• 
  

  Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Certified Activity Director preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Must become certified within 90 days of hire

  
  


• 
  

  Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, OR

  
  


• 
  

  Satisfactory completion of two years of college, OR

  
  


• 
  

  Two years of experience in long-term care as it relates to activities and memory care
