Job Description

The LIMS-E2 Machine Operator is responsible for the precise and efficient operation of the LIMS-E2 automated equipment, specializing in cutting, stripping, applying seals and crimping wire assemblies to specification. Primary duties include setting up the LIMS-E2 machine, loading the correct wire materials, monitoring production runs, and completing routine maintenance. Additional steps include adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance and quality output.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the LIMS-E2 machine for cutting, stripping, and crimping wire according to production work orders and engineering specifications.


• Adjust machine settings to accommodate different wire gauges, lengths, and crimping requirements as needed for each job.


• Perform quality checks on finished wire assemblies to verify conformity to company standards and customer requirements.


• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions or jams, escalate complex issues to maintenance personnel when necessary.


• Maintain accurate records of production runs, material usage, and equipment maintenance.


• Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work area around the LIMS-E2 machine.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read instruction sheets.


• Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.


• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.


• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes or equipment as technology evolves.

This position will be located at SurePoint Electronics in Atwood, KS.

Training

No specific training program exists for this position.  You will be expected to learn through experience and ask questions for clarification.  SurePoint does emphasize employee development.  Opportunities will exist to attend specialized training throughout the course of employment.
