Position Summary:

The Line Lead 2 is responsible for directly overseeing multiple cells of assemblers, machine operators, or fabricators and the activities of production.

Accountabilities:

• Ensure all company policies are followed, including but not limited to, safety and quality.
• Lead and motivate different production crews over multiple lines to work in a unified manner.
• Lead and/or participate in production floor and quality meetings.
• Recommend and implement ways to improve team engagement, production processes, equipment performance, product quality and overall efficiency.
• Route goods to proper areas within the plant and stage materials at machines for operators.
• Verify pallet/crate/box tags are correctly labeled and identified.
• Assist with production while maintaining working knowledge of all equipment within the assigned area.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and team engagement, and support continuous improvement across all areas.
• Collaborate with managers and supervisors to coordinate production workflow.
• Collaborate with quality, warehouse, and other teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
• 1+ year of leadership or Line Lead experience preferred.
• Must understand and follow forklift safety procedures and be able to obtain forklift certification through a company-provided test.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of all machines and tools on the assigned line, with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to lead others in a professional and effective manner.
• Ability to learn and use internal software systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• HIgh School Diploma or GED preferred.
