The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. Although the full pay range is posted, the target hiring range is $26.84-$33.00 We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. In this position you can expect to work at the Wastewater Building (2000 West 3rd Ave). This team currently works up to 3 days in office. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

The Division of Transportation Operations is responsible for managing the performance of the transportation infrastructure. Sections within the Division include curbside management, traffic signals, signs and markings, and system operations.
As a Line Striper Driver you will:

Ability to work a variable schedule due to possible emergencies and in inclement weather
Attention detail in the field and data entry
Basic computer skills such as MS Office and inventory management software
Applicants for commercial driving positions must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Commercial drivers must be able to do the following in English:
Converse with the general public
Understand highway traffic signs and signals
Respond to official inquiries
Make entries on reports and records
Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of traffic signs and markings experience which must include six (6) months of driving equipment which requires a CDL “B”.
Education/Experience Equivalency: A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.
License/Certifications:This job requires driving. Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application. Requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL "B") with appropriate endorsements at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
This position requires a performance assessment which involves a pre-trip inspection, post-trip inspection, and maneuvering/driving. To be considered for this position, you must pass this assessment.
